Mission

Chosen Children Ministries' mission in Nicaragua is to make disciples through planting local churches and develop communities through their commitment to improve basic needs such as clean water, safe housing, food, education, and stable employment.

Who They Serve

Nicaragua is commonly regarded as the poorest country in Central America. Most homes have poorly constructed tin roofs, dirt floors and bed sheets as dividers for their rooms. Nicaraguan villagers are among the most poor having little hope of improving their lives with such poor education and economic opportunity.

How They Serve

CCM actively works to raise up and train Nicaraguan pastors in order to plant churches in their region through seminary training. They send mission teams to help serve the community, lead Bible studies, build churches, and financially sponsor children. Child sponsorship allows CCM to provide children with quality nutrition, education, basic medical resources, Biblical discipleship, and clean water.

CCM believes the Church is the greatest source of blessings in each community. They have planted dozens of churches by training Nicaraguan pastors in their 3-year Pacific Bible Institute, purchasing land, constructing facilities, and drilling water wells. Mission teams from the United States serve alongside the pastors and local churches planted in each village.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray God will continue to raise up leaders throughout Nicaragua to plant more churches in villages without churches.
  • Pray against President Daniel Ortega's Government overreach and religious persecution.
    • Between 2018 and 2024, 812 incidents have been recorded against the Catholic Church and 70 against evangelical churches. 211 priests and pastors have been forced into exile, and 317 individuals had their nationalities revoked. Additionally, 13 religious buildings have been confiscated by the government, over 3,600 public religious events have been banned, and 250 religious-affiliated NGOs have been shut down. (Georgetown University, 2024)
  • Pray the Lord would provide financially for Chosen Children Ministries and their staff as they labor to spread the Gospel throughout the country.
